IL13RA1

IL13RA1, interleukin 13 receptor subunit alpha 1, alias NR4, CT19, CD213A1. It is a protein encoded by the human IL13RA1 gene, which is located on the X chromosome.
The IL13RA1 protein is the major binding subunit of the IL-13 receptor and forms a receptor complex with IL-4 receptor alpha, a subunit common to both IL-13 and IL-4 receptors. Upon binding to IL-13, IL13RA1 forms a heterodimer with the IL-4 receptor alpha chain and activates JAK2/Tyk2-dependent signaling and phosphorylation of the transcriptional activator STAT.
IL13RA1 plays a key role in several biological processes such as immune regulation, inflammatory response, allergic response, etc. It has various biological effects on monocyte macrophages, B lymphocytes, NK cells and vascular endothelial cells, and it is an important mediator of regulation of the body's immune response.
