ACVR2A

ACVR2A, alternatively known as ACVR2 or ACTRII, is a key component of the TGF-beta superfamily. This receptor plays a significant role in various biological processes. Mainly found in tissues like the skin and gallbladder, ACVR2A exerts its function by binding to Activin A, which then leads to the recruitment and phosphorylation of type I Activin receptors. Ultimately, ACVR2A influences cell state via regulating SMAD2/3 signaling pathway. The ACVR2A receptor is pivotal for tissue regeneration, cell differentiation, and tumors. Notably, the downregulation of ACVR2A is observed in certain cancers, which may be associated with tumor metastasis potential and patient prognosis. In summary, ACVR2A's activity is a critical determinant in the balance between tissue homeostasis and disease progression.

IHC image of CSB-RA623829MA1HU diluted at 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human placenta tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-human polymer IgG labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.

Immunofluorescence staining of SH-SY5Y cell with CSB-RA623829MA1HU at 1:100, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4C. The secondary antibody was FITC-conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Human IgG(H+L).
