Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description
Activin receptor type-2A mediates TGF-β superfamily signaling that regulates muscle growth, bone homeostasis, and metabolic pathways, making it a target of interest in cachexia and muscular dystrophy research. This mammalian-expressed fragment spanning residues 20–135 captures the extracellular ligand-binding domain and demonstrates quantifiable antibody-binding activity with an EC50 of 3.848–4.375 ng/mL in functional ELISA, providing a validated reagent for competitive inhibition assays and blocking antibody screening campaigns. The measured affinity supports its use in therapeutic antibody epitope mapping, receptor-ligand interaction studies by surface plasmon resonance or biolayer interferometry, and as a positive control in binding assays where reproducible dose-response behavior is essential.
