Description
TNF-α drives NF-κB and MAPK signaling cascades central to inflammation, apoptosis, and tumor microenvironment remodeling, making precise functional reagents essential for mechanistic studies. This tag-free recombinant human TNF protein, spanning residues 87–233, reproduces the mature soluble homotrimer and demonstrates exceptional potency with an ED50 below 0.01 ng/mL in the murine L929 cytotoxicity assay, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁷ IU/mg. Such potency supports use in NF-κB/MAPK pathway dissection, apoptosis and cytotoxicity assays, in vivo tumor biology models, and as a reference standard for cytokine detection platforms. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg combined with purity greater than 98% by SDS-PAGE satisfy the stringent criteria needed to prevent LPS-driven artifacts in primary immune cell activation experiments and antibody validation workflows.
