Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-81°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description

ULBP1 is a stress-induced ligand for the NKG2D receptor that plays a central role in activating NK cell–mediated cytotoxicity against transformed cells, making it a key target in immuno-oncology research. This recombinant human ULBP1, spanning residues 26–216 of the mature protein with a C-terminal hFc1-Myc tag, demonstrates robust binding to immobilized KLRK1 by functional ELISA (EC50 of 228.5–427.6 ng/ml) and a high-affinity interaction with KLRK1 measured at a KD of 2.27 nM by LSPR, confirming that the protein is appropriate for receptor-ligand binding assays, NKG2D signaling studies, and NK cell activation experiments. Mammalian cell expression preserves native-like glycosylation and folding critical for accurate NKG2D engagement, while purity exceeding 90% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfy the criteria typical for functional cell-based cytotoxicity assays and SPR-based affinity screening in cancer immunology workflows.

Applications : Enzymatic activity in vitro

Review: We performed SDS-PAGE detection after after receiving the product and it showed a high purity and no impurity band. Subsequent enzyme activity experiment showed complete biological activity. Stable performance, no batch differences, good repeatability!
