Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
IL-36α is a pro-inflammatory IL-1 family cytokine that signals through IL-36R to activate NF-κB and MAPK pathways, making it a key mediator in epithelial and adipose tissue immune responses. This tag-free recombinant human IL-36A, spanning the full mature sequence (6–158 aa), demonstrates an ED50 of less than 10 ng/mL in an IL-8 secretion assay using human preadipocytes, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁵ IU/mg — potency that supports use in cell-based activation assays, NF-κB/MAPK signaling studies, and as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize the risk of LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell experiments, including in vivo inflammation models and primary cell differentiation assays. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this endotoxin profile, provides a suitable basis for antibody development workflows such as immunogen preparation, ELISA coating, and Western blot positive controls.
