Description
Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is the principal regulator of calcium homeostasis, making validated biological activity essential for meaningful experimental outcomes. This tag-free recombinant human PTH, encompassing the full-length mature protein (aa 32–115), demonstrates an ED50 of less than 50 ng/ml in cAMP accumulation assays using murine MC3T3E1 cells, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 2.0 × 10⁴ IU/mg—providing a reliable standard for receptor binding assays, competition studies, and PTH1R signaling investigations. The sequence-authentic mature form supports structure-function analyses and serves as a quantitative reference for immunoassay development. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg combined with purity greater than 97% by SDS-PAGE satisfy the criteria typically required for in vivo pharmacology models of calcium metabolism and bone remodeling, as well as cell-based signaling experiments where contaminant interference must be minimized.
