PGF

PGF stands for Placental Growth Factor. It is also commonly known as PIGF. PGF functions by binding to VEGFR - 1, which is a receptor tyrosine kinase. This binding activates downstream signaling cascades, promoting angiogenesis, vascular permeability, and cell migration. It is involved in the VEGF signaling pathway.
PGF is associated with various diseases such as pre - eclampsia, cancer, and diabetic retinopathy. In pre - eclampsia, abnormal PGF levels are linked to poor placental perfusion. Regarding drug development, efforts are underway to target PGF for treating these diseases, aiming to modulate its activity and improve clinical outcomes.

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human FLT1(CSB-MP008732HU) protein at 2 μg/ml can bind Human PGF protein. The EC₅₀ is 10.72-15.25 ng/mL.

IHC image of CSB-RA280380A0HU diluted at 1:100 and staining in paraffin-embedded human colon cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4℃ overnight. The primary is detected by a Goat anti-rabbit IgG polymer labeled by HRP and visualized using 0.05% DAB.
