Description
Placenta growth factor (PlGF) drives angiogenesis and monocyte recruitment in tumor microenvironments, making it a critical target in cancer biology research. This tag-free recombinant human PGF encompasses the full-length mature sequence of isoform 3 (aa 19–170), expressed in *E. coli* to yield a non-glycosylated homodimer suitable for receptor-ligand binding studies and competition assays where glycosylation-independent interactions are being interrogated. Biological activity is confirmed by chemoattraction of human monocytes at 5.0–50 ng/ml, supporting use in angiogenesis models, tumor biology studies, and in vivo monocyte migration experiments. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for cell-based proliferation assays, VEGFR-1 binding characterization by SPR or ELISA, and antibody validation workflows requiring a reliable protein standard.
