BAFF (TNFSF13B) is a critical TNF superfamily cytokine that drives B-cell survival, maturation, and class-switch recombination, making it a key target in autoimmunity and B-cell malignancy research. This tag-free recombinant human BAFF (M+134-285 aa) encompasses the mature soluble domain and demonstrates confirmed biological activity with an ED50 of 0.5–2 µg/ml in a mouse splenocyte survival assay, supporting its use in B-cell proliferation and survival assays, NF-κB pathway activation studies, and as a reference standard in BAFF detection platforms. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/µg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that would otherwise confound results in primary immune cell cultures and in vivo tumor biology models. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, provides a suitable basis for antibody development workflows including immunization, ELISA coating, and functional blocking assay validation.
