Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered 20 mM Tris-HCl, 0.5 M NaCl, 6% Trehalose, pH 8
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-81°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, storage temperature and the stability of the product itself. Generally, the shelf life of lyophilized form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C from the date of receipt.

Description

GFRAL serves as the exclusive receptor for GDF15, a stress-response cytokine implicated in metabolic regulation and body weight homeostasis, making precise characterization of this interaction essential for metabolic drug discovery. This recombinant mouse GFRAL fragment (residues 20–349) encompasses the extracellular ligand-binding domain and is expressed in mammalian cells to preserve the native glycosylation and disulfide bonding critical for conformational integrity. Functional ELISA confirms robust ligand engagement, with immobilized GFRAL (5 µg/mL) binding mouse GDF15 at an EC50 of 7.926–10.52 ng/mL, providing a suitable basis for receptor-ligand interaction assays, competitive inhibition studies, blocking antibody screening, and small-molecule inhibitor discovery campaigns. Purity exceeds 95% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels remain below 1.0 EU/µg, which satisfies the quality thresholds commonly required for SPR- or BLI-based affinity characterization, epitope mapping, and use as a positive control in quantitative binding assays.

Applications : Drug related studies

Review: I used CSB-MP750964MO1 product for a functional ELISA experiment, EC50 was 4.701-10.78 ng/ml, and the protein had complete biological activity. The lyophilized powder I bought dissolved well according to the instructions. The protein has stable properties and high purity, and the subsequent experiments are smooth! We will continue to purchase in large quantities!

Target Background

Function(From Uniprot)
Brainstem-restricted receptor for GDF15 which regulates food intake, energy expenditure and body weight in response to metabolic and toxin-induced stresses. Upon interaction with its ligand, GDF15, interacts with RET and induces cellular signaling through activation of MAPK- and AKT- signaling pathways.
