Description
GIPR, a class B G protein-coupled receptor, mediates glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide signaling and represents a therapeutic target in metabolic disease research. This mammalian-expressed fragment spanning residues 22–138 captures the extracellular ligand-binding domain, where native glycosylation and disulfide bonding are critical for antibody recognition and ligand interaction studies. Functional ELISA validation demonstrates specific binding to an anti-GIPR recombinant antibody with an EC50 of 16.18–18.70 ng/mL, confirming that the protein retains conformational epitopes required for therapeutic antibody screening, competitive inhibition assays, and epitope mapping experiments. With purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, this fragment provides a suitable basis for surface plasmon resonance affinity characterization, biolayer interferometry kinetic studies, and blocking antibody validation in drug discovery workflows targeting incretin receptor pathways.
