Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-81°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description

CEACAM8, a granulocyte-specific glycoprotein implicated in neutrophil activation and tumor-immune interactions, presents technical challenges for recombinant production due to its heavily glycosylated extracellular architecture. This mammalian-expressed construct spans the full mature protein (residues 35–320) and demonstrates quantifiable antibody binding in functional ELISA, with an EC50 of 19.38–21.68 ng/mL against an anti-CEACAM8 recombinant antibody, confirming that native epitopes are accessible for immunological studies. The measured activity supports use in antibody development and validation workflows, where epitope integrity is critical, as well as in cell adhesion assays and immune cell trafficking models that depend on CEACAM8-mediated interactions with selectins or heterophilic binding partners.
