Description
CD79B forms the signaling component of the B-cell receptor complex and is a validated target for therapeutic antibodies in B-cell malignancies, making reliable extracellular domain proteins essential for antibody development workflows. This construct spans residues 29–159 and demonstrates quantifiable antibody-binding activity with an EC50 of 31.97–35.69 ng/mL in functional ELISA, providing a suitable basis for competitive inhibition assays, blocking antibody screening, and therapeutic antibody epitope mapping. Mammalian expression preserves the native glycosylation and disulfide architecture required for physiologically relevant receptor-antibody interactions in surface plasmon resonance, biolayer interferometry, and affinity characterization experiments. With purity exceeding 90% by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, this protein meets the quality thresholds commonly required for drug discovery campaigns targeting B-cell surface receptors and for use as a positive control in binding assays evaluating anti-CD79B biologics.
