Description
Rhesus macaque IFN-gamma is a critical cytokine for preclinical immunology studies, and this tag-free recombinant form covering the full mature sequence (aa 24–165) preserves native signaling fidelity essential for cross-reactive functional work. Validated in an anti-viral assay using human HeLa cells challenged with EMC virus, the protein demonstrates an ED50 of less than 20.0 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 5.0 × 10⁴ IU/mg—sufficient potency for JAK/STAT pathway activation studies, macrophage polarization assays, and use as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg ensure that downstream immune cell responses in PBMC activation or T-cell differentiation experiments reflect genuine IFN-gamma signaling rather than LPS-driven artifacts. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, supports use in antibody development workflows including ELISA coating and as a positive control for NHP-focused in vivo inflammation models.
