Description
CXCL10 (IP-10) is a key interferon-γ–inducible chemokine that drives CXCR3-dependent lymphocyte trafficking, making it central to studies of inflammation, infection, and tumor immunology. This tag-free recombinant rat CXCL10, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 22–98), demonstrates confirmed chemotactic activity at 10–50 ng/mL in a bioassay using human CXCR3-transfected HEK293 cells, providing a suitable basis for chemotaxis and migration assays, CXCR3 signaling pathway dissection (including MAPK and PI3K/Akt cascades), and in vivo rat models of inflammatory or tumor biology. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound immune cell activation readouts, which supports use in sensitive functional assays such as T-cell polarization and proliferation studies. Produced in *E. coli* with greater than 95% purity by SDS-PAGE, this protein also meets the quality thresholds commonly required for use as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays or as a positive control in ELISA and antibody validation workflows.
