Description
CXCL8 is a potent neutrophil chemoattractant central to innate immune signaling, and this tag-free recombinant form spanning residues 23–99 faithfully reproduces the mature human sequence critical for accurate CXCR1/CXCR2 receptor engagement. Validated in a chemotaxis bioassay using human CXCR2-transfected BaF3 cells, the protein demonstrates an ED50 below 2 ng/mL (specific activity >5.0 × 10⁵ IU/mg), confirming robust signaling potency that supports Transwell migration assays, NF-κB and MAPK pathway activation studies, and use as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms such as ELISA. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound neutrophil and monocyte functional readouts, making this preparation appropriate for sensitive immune cell assays and in vivo inflammation models.
