CD72

CD72, also known as Lyb-2, is a single-pass Type-II membrane protein with an extracellular C-type lectin domain and cytoplasmic ITIM motifs. It serves as an inhibitor of B-cell receptor signaling by recruiting phosphatase SHP-1 to the ITIM motifs. CD72 is highly expressed in B-cell malignancies, including acute lymphoblastic leukemia and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and is associated with poor prognosis. It is also involved in immune regulation, and its expression is regulated by B-cell-related transcription factors. CD72 has emerged as a potential target for immunotherapy, with ongoing research focusing on CAR-T cell development and combination strategies with other therapies.

CD72 is a promising therapeutic target in B-cell malignancies due to its role in BCR signaling and its expression in various B-cell cancers. Research into CD72-directed CAR-T cells and combination therapies with SHIP1 inhibition is ongoing, aiming to improve treatment outcomes for patients with CD72-positive B-cell malignancies.

Immunofluorescence staining of Hela cells with CSB-PA004955LA01HU at 1:66, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).
