CD70, also known as CD27 ligand or TNFSF7, is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the tumor necrosis factor superfamily. This costimulatory molecule plays a critical role in T cell activation, proliferation, and survival through its interaction with CD27. CD70 expression is tightly regulated under normal physiological conditions, appearing transiently on activated T and B lymphocytes as well as mature dendritic cells.
