Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-81°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description
IL-6 orchestrates acute-phase responses and drives chronic inflammation in cancer microenvironments, making precise control of its signaling dose essential for modeling tumor-immune crosstalk. This recombinant cynomolgus IL-6, spanning residues 28–212 of the mature protein, demonstrates potent bioactivity with an ED50 of 0.1146–0.6220 ng/mL in TF-1 cell proliferation assays, providing a quantitative benchmark for dose-response studies in JAK/STAT3 pathway activation, primary PBMC differentiation, and tumor-associated macrophage polarization experiments. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg eliminate LPS-driven artifacts that confound interpretation in immune cell functional assays and in vivo inflammation models. Purity exceeding 95% supports its use as a coating antigen in ELISA development, a positive control in cytokine detection platforms, and an immunogen for antibody validation against primate IL-6 orthologs.
