Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description
CD2 mediates T-cell adhesion to antigen-presenting cells and target cells through its interaction with CD58 (LFA-3), a critical checkpoint in immune synapse formation and T-cell activation. This recombinant fragment spanning residues 25–209 captures the complete extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains responsible for ligand recognition and demonstrates quantifiable binding to human CD58 with an EC50 of 337.0–430.1 ng/mL in functional ELISA, confirming that the mammalian expression system has preserved the native conformation required for receptor-ligand engagement. The validated CD2-CD58 interaction supports use in cell adhesion assays examining T-cell conjugate formation, immune cell trafficking studies modeling lymphocyte homing, and antibody development programs targeting costimulatory pathways in cancer immunotherapy. Purity exceeding 95% by both SEC-HPLC and SDS-PAGE, combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, meets the quality thresholds commonly required for sensitive binding assays and functional cell-based experiments.
