Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Description
Activin receptor type-2B mediates signaling by activin and related TGF-β superfamily ligands, making it a critical node in pathways governing muscle homeostasis, metabolism, and bone remodeling. This mammalian-expressed extracellular domain (residues 19–137) demonstrates quantified binding to immobilized human inhibin βA with an EC50 of 45.93–52.42 ng/mL in functional ELISA, providing a validated basis for ligand-receptor interaction studies, competitive inhibition assays, and blocking antibody screening campaigns. The measured affinity supports its use as a positive control in binding platforms including surface plasmon resonance and biolayer interferometry, as well as in therapeutic antibody epitope mapping where native glycosylation and tertiary structure are essential for physiologically relevant epitope presentation. Dual SDS-PAGE and SEC-HPLC purity exceeding 95%, combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, aligns with standards expected in drug discovery workflows targeting activin–ACVR2B interactions for muscle-wasting and metabolic disorders.
