CUSABIO's product CSB-PA706579LA01RMS is a polyclonal IgG antibody developed against the recombinant protein corresponding to the amino acids 1734-2021 of the Rickettsia conorii ompA. This ompA antibody got purified by protein G, resulting in a purity exceeding 95%. It is recommended for the recognition and detection of Rickettsia conorii ompA protein in ELISA and WB applications.

The ompA protein is a major outer membrane protein in gram-negative bacteria, facilitating nutrient uptake and exchange by forming a porin and providing structural stability to the bacterial cell wall which is essential for bacterial survival and virulence. ompA also stimulates immune responses in host cells, including the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines.
