Description

Following protein G-mediated purification, the resultant UL49 antibody exhibits reactivity with human cytomegalovirus (strain AD169) (HHV-5) (HCMV) UL49 protein and is extensively validated for use in ELISA and WB applications.

The human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) UL49 protein is associated with the envelopment and egress of the virus from host cells during the late stages of the viral replication cycle. UL49 plays a crucial role in the assembly and maturation of HCMV virions, including the formation of the viral envelope, which is essential for the release of new virus particles.
