Description

The polyclonal antibody CSB-PA022471LA01HU was produced in rabbits against SPAM1 using recombinant human Hyaluronidase PH-20 protein (36-490aa) as the immunogen. After the purification process using protein G affinity chromatography, the antibody achieved a purity level of up to 95%.

This SPAM1 polyclonal antibody is specific to human SPAM1 proteins and may be used to detect the endogenous levels of SPAM1 protein. Quality testing has been conducted specifically for ELISA, allowing users to quantitatively or qualitatively measure the SPAM1 protein with this antibody.

Involved in sperm-egg adhesion. Upon fertilization sperm must first penetrate a layer of cumulus cells that surrounds the egg before reaching the zona pellucida. The cumulus cells are embedded in a matrix containing hyaluronic acid which is formed prior to ovulation. This protein aids in penetrating the layer of cumulus cells by digesting hyaluronic acid.
