Description
Transthyretin serves as a critical carrier protein for thyroxine and retinol-binding protein 4 (RBP4), making its ligand-binding integrity essential for studying thyroid hormone transport and retinoid metabolism in murine models. This recombinant mouse Ttr, spanning residues 21–147 of the mature protein with a C-terminal 10xHis tag, demonstrates confirmed binding to mouse RBP4 with an EC50 of 17.06–26.23 ng/mL in functional ELISA, validating its native tetrameric conformation and cargo-recognition capacity. The verified RBP4 interaction supports use in ligand-binding and cargo-release assays, drug-protein binding competition studies, structural and biophysical characterization of amyloidogenic intermediates, and as a quantitative ELISA standard for antibody development.
