Description
SPARC (osteonectin) is a matricellular protein that modulates cell-matrix interactions critical to tumor progression, making validated active protein essential for mechanistic cancer research. This recombinant human SPARC, covering the full-length mature sequence (aa 18–303) with an N-terminal 6xHis tag, demonstrates an ED50 of less than 3.0 µg/mL in Mv1Lu cell growth inhibition assays, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 333 IU/mg—confirming its suitability for cancer invasion models and matrix remodeling studies. The confirmed antiproliferative activity supports use in fibrosis and wound healing assays, integrin-binding interaction experiments, and as a coating antigen for antibody validation.
