Description
Oncostatin-M drives pleiotropic signaling through the gp130 receptor complex, regulating hematopoietic cell proliferation, hepatocyte acute-phase responses, and inflammatory cascades that intersect with both regenerative and pathological processes. This preparation demonstrates robust bioactivity in TF-1 cell proliferation assays with an ED50 ≤ 2 ng/mL, providing quantitative evidence that supports dose-response studies in JAK/STAT and MAPK pathway activation experiments, as well as functional assays examining cytokine-driven differentiation or survival in primary hematopoietic cultures. Spanning the complete mature protein sequence (aa 26–221) and produced in mammalian cells to preserve native glycosylation, the material meets the quality thresholds commonly required for antibody development workflows, including use as an immunogen or ELISA coating antigen. Endotoxin levels ≤10 EU/mg and purity >95% by SDS-PAGE together minimize LPS-driven artifacts in immune cell assays where OSM-specific responses must be distinguished from innate activation.
