Description
BTLA functions as an inhibitory immune checkpoint receptor that negatively regulates T-cell activation through interaction with herpesvirus entry mediator (HVEM), making it a target of interest in cancer immunotherapy research. This mammalian-expressed extracellular domain (residues 31–157) demonstrates quantifiable binding activity with an EC50 of 11.56–13.00 ng/mL against anti-BTLA recombinant antibody in functional ELISA, providing a validated basis for therapeutic antibody epitope mapping, competitive inhibition screening, and blocking antibody development. The mammalian expression system supports native glycosylation and disulfide bond formation critical for conformational integrity in receptor-ligand interaction studies, including surface plasmon resonance and biolayer interferometry affinity characterization. With greater than 95% purity and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, this protein meets the quality thresholds commonly required for ligand-binding assays and serves as a positive control in immune checkpoint research alongside PD-1, CTLA-4, and LAG-3 pathway investigations.
