Description
Aquaporin Z serves as a critical water channel in *E. coli*, and this full-length recombinant form (aa 1–231) retains confirmed binding activity, with functional ELISA demonstrating interaction with YtfE at an EC50 of 197.90–259.70 μg/ml when immobilized at 5 μg/ml. This validated protein–protein interaction supports use in ligand-binding assays, membrane transporter functional studies, and ELISA standard development where confirmed conformational integrity is essential. The N-terminal 6xHis tag facilitates oriented immobilization for surface plasmon resonance or pull-down experiments, enabling drug-protein binding studies and structural or biophysical characterization of channel architecture.
