Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
IL-22 plays a central role in mucosal immunity and epithelial defense, signaling through the IL-22R1/IL-10R2 heterodimer to activate JAK/STAT3 and MAPK pathways in target tissues. This tag-free recombinant human IL-22, encompassing the full mature sequence (residues 34–179), demonstrates potent bioactivity with an ED50 below 0.3 ng/ml in a COLO 205 IL-10 secretion assay, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 3.3 × 10⁶ IU/mg — a level that supports use in cell-based functional assays such as epithelial activation and differentiation studies, as well as JAK/STAT and NF-κB signaling pathway dissection. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize the risk of LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell experiments, making this preparation appropriate for in vivo inflammation models and as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE further provides a suitable basis for antibody development workflows, including use as a coating antigen in ELISA or a positive control in western blot validation.
