Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
FGF19 functions as an atypical endocrine member of the FGF family, regulating bile acid synthesis, glucose metabolism, and hepatocyte proliferation through FGFR4/β-Klotho signaling — making it a key target in cancer biology research. This tag-free recombinant human FGF19 (residues 23–216) encompasses the mature secreted form and demonstrates robust biological activity, with an ED50 below 150 ng/mL in a Balb/c 3T3 cell proliferation assay, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 6.7 × 10³ IU/mg. The E. coli expression system yields a non-glycosylated protein that provides a suitable basis for receptor-ligand binding studies via SPR or ELISA, where the absence of variable glycan modifications supports more reproducible quantitative comparisons. Purity above 95% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for cell-based proliferation assays, in vivo tumor biology models, and antibody characterization workflows.
