Description

By immunizing a rabbit with recombinant Danio rerio (Zebrafish) (Brachydanio rerio) sod1 protein (1-154aa), the sod1 polyclonal antibody is generated. This process induces an immune response in the rabbit, leading to the production of specific antibodies within the rabbit's IgG-rich serum. Following affinity chromatography purification, the resultant sod1 antibody exhibits reactivity with Danio rerio (Zebrafish) (Brachydanio rerio) sod1 protein and is extensively validated for use in ELISA and WB applications.

In Danio rerio (Zebrafish), sod1 mainly acts as an antioxidant enzyme that catalyzes the dismutation of superoxide radicals into molecular oxygen and hydrogen peroxide, thus protecting cells from the harmful effects of superoxide accumulation. This enzyme is essential for maintaining cellular redox balance and protecting cells from damage caused by reactive oxygen species.
