Data indicate that phosphorylation of serine Ser846 is required for the arsenic (As) resistance function of ATP-Binding Cassette (ABC) transporter ABCC1 (AtABCC1). PMID:28130831
MRP1 is important for vacuolar accumulation of antifolates as well as tolerance against arsenic, both of which involved phosphorylation in the serine triads at the C terminal nucleotide binding domain of MRP1. PMID:27428365
