Description
CXCL8 is a potent neutrophil chemoattractant central to primate inflammatory responses, and this tag-free rhesus macaque IL-8 provides a species-matched reagent for translational immunology studies in nonhuman primate models. Validated biological activity in a chemotaxis bioassay using human CXCR2-transfected BaF3 cells at 0.5–5.0 ng/ml confirms strong signaling potency, supporting use in migration assays, CXCR1/CXCR2 receptor activation studies, and downstream MAPK or NF-κB pathway analyses. The full-length mature sequence (residues 23–101) expressed in *E. coli* ensures native folding without tag-related steric interference, making this protein appropriate for antibody development as an immunogen or ELISA coating antigen, as well as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays. Purity exceeding 95% by SDS-PAGE combined with endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the stringent criteria needed to prevent LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell functional assays and *in vivo* inflammation models.
