Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
Rat CXCL3 (MIP2-alpha/beta) is a potent ELR+ CXC chemokine that drives neutrophil recruitment through CXCR2 signaling, making it a critical tool for dissecting innate immune responses in rat models of inflammation and infection. This tag-free recombinant protein, spanning the mature sequence (residues 33–97), demonstrates confirmed biological activity in a chemotaxis bioassay using human CXCR2-transfected BaF3 cells at a functional concentration range of 5–50 ng/ml, providing a reliable basis for Transwell migration assays, CXCR2-dependent MAPK and NF-κB signaling studies, and in vivo neutrophil recruitment experiments. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg ensure that chemotactic and pro-inflammatory readouts reflect genuine CXCL3-mediated activity rather than LPS-driven artifacts, which is essential when working with neutrophils and other endotoxin-sensitive immune cells. Purity exceeding 96% by SDS-PAGE further supports use as a reference standard in cytokine detection assays or as a positive control for antibody validation by ELISA.
