Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
CXCL12 (SDF-1) is a pivotal chemokine that signals through CXCR4 to regulate leukocyte trafficking, hematopoietic stem cell homing, and tumor metastasis, making precise functional reagents essential for dissecting these pathways. This tag-free recombinant mouse CXCL12, encompassing the full-length mature sequence (residues 22–93), drives chemotaxis of human peripheral blood monocytes at 50–100 ng/ml, confirming robust signaling potency suitable for migration assays, CXCR4-dependent MAPK and NF-κB pathway studies, and in vivo models of inflammation or tumor biology. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound monocyte and macrophage functional readouts, supporting use in sensitive immune cell activation, proliferation, and differentiation assays. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, also provides a suitable basis for antibody validation workflows including ELISA standard curves and Western blot positive controls.
