Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Description
Lymphotactin (XCL1) is the sole C-class chemokine, uniquely possessing a single disulfide bond and lacking the typical paired cysteine motif, making it a critical tool for studying XCR1-dependent dendritic cell recruitment and cross-presentation pathways. This tag-free recombinant mouse XCL1, encompassing the full mature sequence (aa 22–114), demonstrates potent chemotactic activity with an ED50 below 100 ng/ml in XCR1-transfected BaF3 migration assays, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 1.0 × 10⁴ IU/mg. The endotoxin level of less than 1.0 EU/μg effectively minimizes LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell assays, supporting use in chemotaxis/migration experiments, in vivo inflammation or tumor models requiring XCR1⁺ DC mobilization, and as a reference standard in chemokine detection assays. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, satisfies the criteria typical for signaling pathway studies examining MAPK or NF-κB activation downstream of XCR1 engagement.
