Description
CXCL12/SDF-1 is a principal ligand for CXCR4 and plays a critical role in lymphocyte trafficking, hematopoietic stem cell homing, and tumor metastasis, making validated chemotactic activity essential for meaningful experimental results. This tag-free recombinant human CXCL12 (22–89aa) reproduces the mature protein sequence and demonstrates confirmed biological activity in a chemotaxis bioassay using PHA/IL-2–activated human peripheral blood T-lymphocytes at 20–80 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for migration assays, CXCR4 signaling pathway studies involving MAPK and PI3K/Akt activation, and in vivo models of inflammation or tumor biology. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound immune cell functional readouts, which supports use in sensitive T-cell and PBMC activation assays as well as antibody validation workflows including ELISA standard curves and Western blot positive controls.
