Description
CCL5 (RANTES) is a potent pro-inflammatory chemokine that recruits monocytes, T cells, and eosinophils to sites of inflammation, making it a critical reagent for dissecting leukocyte trafficking mechanisms. This tag-free recombinant human CCL5, encompassing the full-length mature sequence (residues 24–91), drives monocyte chemotaxis at 1.0–10 ng/ml in peripheral blood monocyte bioassays, confirming signaling potency suitable for Transwell migration assays, CCR5-dependent signaling pathway studies involving MAPK and NF-κB activation, and in vivo inflammation models. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound immune cell functional readouts, which supports use in sensitive monocyte and T cell activation assays as well as antibody validation workflows such as ELISA standard curves and Western blot positive controls. Purity exceeding 98% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, provides a suitable basis for reference standard applications in cytokine detection platforms.
