Description
CCL4 (MIP-1β) is a key CC chemokine that drives monocyte and T-cell recruitment through CCR5 signaling, making it central to studies of inflammatory trafficking and HIV co-receptor biology. This tag-free recombinant human CCL4, encompassing the full-length mature sequence (residues 24–92), demonstrates potent chemotactic activity on human peripheral blood monocytes at 5–20 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for Transwell migration assays, CCR5-dependent signaling studies involving MAPK and NF-κB pathway activation, and in vivo inflammation models. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound monocyte and macrophage functional readouts, while purity exceeding 96% by SDS-PAGE supports use as a reliable reference standard in chemokine detection assays or as a coating antigen for antibody validation by ELISA. The E. coli-derived, untagged format faithfully represents the native mature protein, aligning with standards expected in receptor-binding and cell-based activation experiments.
