Description
CCL16, a liver-expressed chemokine that potently recruits monocytes and other immune cells through CCR1, CCR2, and CCR5 engagement, plays a distinctive role in hepatic immune surveillance and inflammatory signaling. This tag-free recombinant human CCL16 encompasses the full mature sequence (residues 24–120) and demonstrates confirmed biological activity in monocyte chemotaxis bioassays at 10–100 ng/ml, providing a suitable basis for Transwell migration assays, monocyte activation studies, and downstream MAPK or NF-κB signaling pathway analyses. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts that can confound cytokine-dependent readouts in primary immune cell cultures and in vivo inflammation models. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, supports use as a reliable reference standard in chemokine detection assays and as a coating antigen or positive control for antibody validation by ELISA.
