FCGR2B

FCGR2B, or Fcγ Receptor IIb, is an inhibitory Fcγ receptor expressed on the surface of a variety of immune cells. It regulates the immune response through the immunoreceptor tyrosine inhibitory motif (ITIM) contained in its cytoplasmic region, and is able to inhibit excessive immune activation when bound to the Fc fragment of IgG antibodies.FCGR2B plays an important role in regulating the immune response of B cells, dendritic cells, monocytes, and macrophages, among others, and helps to maintain immune self-stabilisation and prevent autoimmune diseases.Abnormalities in the function of FCGR2B have been associated with autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). FCGR2B has been implicated in the development of autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and is an important target for immunomodulation and disease treatment.
