Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Description
Interferon lambda-1 (IL-29) signals through a distinct receptor complex to induce antiviral and immunomodulatory responses with tissue-selective specificity, making it a critical tool for dissecting type III interferon biology. This tag-free recombinant human IFNL1, encompassing the full mature sequence (aa 20–200), demonstrates potent antiviral activity with an ED50 below 5 ng/ml in HepG2 cells challenged with encephalomyocarditis virus, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 2.0 × 10⁵ IU/mg — providing a reliable reference standard for cytokine detection assays and a functional positive control for JAK/STAT signaling pathway studies. The endotoxin level of less than 1.0 EU/μg satisfies the criteria typical for cell-based functional assays and in vivo inflammation or infection models, where LPS-driven artifacts would otherwise confound interferon-specific readouts. Purity exceeding 97% by SDS-PAGE further supports use as a coating antigen or immunogen in antibody development campaigns requiring well-defined, homogeneous protein preparations.
