Interferon gamma drives macrophage activation, MHC upregulation, and antiviral defense through JAK/STAT signaling, making validated potency essential for meaningful functional studies. This tag-free recombinant human IFN-γ, comprising the full-length mature protein (M+24-166 aa), demonstrates an ED50 of 0.15–0.80 ng/mL in anti-viral assays using HeLa cells challenged with EMC virus, confirming signaling potency suitable for cell-based activation assays, JAK/STAT pathway dissection, and use as a reference standard in cytokine detection platforms. Endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg minimize LPS-driven artifacts in sensitive immune cell experiments such as macrophage polarization, T-cell differentiation, and in vivo inflammation models. Purity exceeding 98% by SDS-PAGE, combined with this stringent endotoxin control, supports use in antibody development workflows including immunization, ELISA coating, and Western blot positive controls.
