Description

Lysyl oxidase (LOX) plays a central role in extracellular matrix remodeling by catalyzing the crosslinking of collagen and elastin fibers, a process essential for tissue integrity and wound healing. Beyond its structural functions, LOX has emerged as a significant player in cancer biology, where its expression influences tumor progression, metastasis, and the hypoxic tumor microenvironment. This makes LOX an important target for researchers investigating fibrosis, cardiovascular disease, and oncology.

This recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated against a synthetic peptide derived from human LOX, offers the reproducibility and consistency that demanding experimental workflows require. As a sequence-defined recombinant clone, it eliminates the lot-to-lot variability that can compromise longitudinal studies or multi-site collaborations, ensuring your results remain comparable across experiments.

Validation across multiple platforms demonstrates the antibody's versatility in your research toolkit. Western blot analysis detects LOX in a range of human cell lines including A549, MCF-7, HeLa, Jurkat, and HEK293T lysates, with an observed band at approximately 55 kDa. This migration above the predicted 47 kDa molecular weight is consistent with post-translational modifications, particularly glycosylation, which is characteristic of this secreted enzyme. Immunofluorescence staining in HeLa cells reveals clear subcellular localization patterns, while flow cytometry analysis in 786-O renal carcinoma cells shows distinct positive signal separation from isotype controls.

Whether you are exploring extracellular matrix dynamics, characterizing tumor microenvironment remodeling, or investigating LOX as a potential therapeutic target, this antibody provides the application flexibility and batch consistency needed to advance your research with confidence.
