 Q&A
Q:

I wanted to know what cell line was used to produce the MPB (ref number: CSB-MP365771RA).

A:
Thanks for your inquiry,The cell line we usually use is HEK293T cell.Except that, we could express the protein in CHO cell. If you need specific cell line, please let me know, and mark it on the P.O when place the order.Thanks.
Q:

I entend to use CSB-EP365771RA and CSB-EP015513RA as antigens, to develop targetting molecules. Do you know if by beeing recombinant they would differ in conformation from the native proteins? And would there be any advantage in buying them from a mamalian cell (CSB-MP365771RA and CSB-MP015513RA)?

A:

Recombinant proteins differ from native proteins. The target proteins prepared by various expression systems also exhibit certain differences.

Proteins expressed in E. coli expression systems undergo minimal post-translational modifications.
Proteins expressed in yeast systems can fold effectively, undergo post-translational modifications, and may exhibit glycosylation.
Proteins expressed in insect systems fold effectively and undergo extensive post-translational modifications.
Proteins expressed in mammalian systems are suitable for secretion, ensuring correct modifications and proper folding.

Target Background

Function(From Uniprot)
Is, with PLP, the most abundant protein component of the myelin membrane in the CNS. Has a role in both the formation and stabilization of this compact multilayer arrangement of bilayers. Each splice variant and charge isomer may have a specialized function in the assembly of an optimized, biochemically functional myelin membrane.
