Target Background

Function(From Uniprot)
Binds to bile acids and is involved in enterohepatic bile acid metabolism. Required for efficient apical to basolateral transport of conjugated bile acids in ileal enterocytes. Stimulates gastric acid and pepsinogen secretion.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The intronless Fabp6 segment, which might be a pseudogene of Fabp6, was localized on rat chromosome 15. PMID:12974472
