Tag Info
N-terminal His-tagged/Tag-Free
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Storage
Store at -20°C, for extended storage, conserve at -20°C or -80°C.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function(From Uniprot)
Tumor suppressor. Promotes rapid degradation of CTNNB1 and participates in Wnt signaling as a negative regulator. APC activity is correlated with its phosphorylation state. Activates the GEF activity of SPATA13 and ARHGEF4. Plays a role in hepatocyte growth factor (HGF)-induced cell migration. Required for MMP9 up-regulation via the JNK signaling pathway in colorectal tumor cells. Acts as a mediator of ERBB2-dependent stabilization of microtubules at the cell cortex. It is required for the localization of MACF1 to the cell membrane and this localization of MACF1 is critical for its function in microtubule stabilization.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Cdk5-mediated inhibition of APC/C-Cdh1 switches on the cyclin D1-Cdk4-pRb pathway causing aberrant S-phase entry of postmitotic neurons PMID:26658992
  2. Study shows APC is an RNA-binding protein and identify an RNA interactome; among the targets is beta2B-tubulin, known to be required in human neuron and axon migration; results identify APC as a platform binding functionally related protein and RNA networks, and suggest a self-organizing model for the microtubule to localize synthesis of its own subunits. PMID:25036633
  3. APC is essential for maintenance of intestinal mucosal homeostasis and can consequently contribute to inflammatory bowel disease pathogenesis. PMID:23395091
  4. These results point to APC as a crucial regulator of intermediate filament organization. PMID:23382461
  5. APC and PSD-95 colocalize and form a protein complex in nerve fibers as well as in postsynaptic sites in matured neurons. PMID:23001297
  6. results identify a previously unknown APC regulatory pathway during growth-factor-induced cell extension and indicate that the GSK-3beta and ERK pathways act in parallel to regulate interactions between APC and the cytoskeleton during formation of cell extensions PMID:22399805
  7. Cdc42 regulates GSK-3beta and adenomatous polyposis coli to control cell polarity PMID:12610628
  8. mutated in 2-AMIQ-induced tumors in various organs in rats PMID:12669311
  9. These results suggest that APC may be involved in neuronal process extension, and that APC may exert different functions on axons and dendritic processes. PMID:15670646
  10. beta-catenin has a structural role in inhibiting APC function in neurite growth. PMID:16303851
  11. loss of the wild-type Apc allele in tumors does not involve chromosome loss in rats PMID:17360473
  12. APC, through a direct interaction with the NPC (nuclear pore complex) protein Nup153 (nucleoporin 153), promotes the association of microtubules with the nuclear membrane. PMID:18042042
