Description

CD16a mediates antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity by bridging IgG-opsonized targets to NK cells and macrophages, making it a critical node in therapeutic antibody efficacy and immune surveillance studies. This cynomolgus macaque ortholog, spanning the extracellular domain (aa 17–208) and expressed in mammalian cells to preserve native glycosylation patterns, demonstrates quantifiable binding to an anti-FCGR3A antibody with an EC50 of 14.09–25.58 ng/ml in functional ELISA, confirming conformational integrity suitable for ligand-binding assays, competitive inhibition screens, and therapeutic antibody epitope mapping. The site-specific biotinylation via C-terminal Avi-tag enables direct immobilization in SPR and BLI platforms for affinity characterization of antibody-Fc variants or blocking candidates without compromising the receptor's binding interface.
